Helvellyn Story

We are a band of mountain bikers from York and the North East of England. Our website has evolved over the years and is mainly a way of keeping track of where we have been mountain biking with ride story's and photos. We all got into mountain bikes at a similar time and the group started in York but now includes riders from the North East and South Yorkshire. We mainly ride the trail centres of the North East, Dalby Forest, Gisburn Forest and Hamsterley Forest but can be found out on some wild XC trails and up in the North Yorkshire Moors.
January's picture of the month taken on our ride at Gisburn forest on the 11th of December and features Matt Wilde taking on a serious drop, twice that and some of Worry Gill.
This is not how to ride North Shore and features Gareth Richardson coming a cropper on the raised log at Gisburn Forest.
