Riders and Rides

Welcome to all the gear no idea's Riders & Rides page. From this page you can read all about us and see what mountain bikes we ride. Also see how we got into this sport and what makes us tick.

Also see who is the snail and who is the cheetah of the group and who doesn't like getting dirty and who has absolutely no idea how to fix a mountain bike.

We will try to keep these pages as up to date as possible with news of any bike upgrades and any new information about ourselves such as injuries etc.

So now for a little bit about the team, we all live in York, North Yorkshire and do a lot of our mountain biking at Dalby Forest and also up in the North Yorkshire Moors. Nick is the longest serving rider of the group starting his mountain biking on a Halfords special, I was next to join in getting a Claud Butler on the bike to work scheme. From there on in it kind of snowballed with Colin, Marc and Tony getting new bikes shortly afterwards. Martin took longest but he now has a nice new 2010 specialized.

Out of the six of us, five are shift workers which means we get to enjoy our mountain biking during the week away from busy summer weekends. Look out for us on your local trails and give us a shout.

All the Crew at the Dragons Back Trail
All the team at the Beginning of the Dragons Back Trail at Coed Y Brenin on the 16th January 2010. This is a very rare picture as due to the fact we are all shift workers it is rare we are all off at the same time. This was a special occasion as it was Simon's Stag Do in Wales.
